The day this article landed in Rolling Stone I was able to get in touch with Seth Harp. But Hollywood - with their deeper pocketbooks (I don't have a pocketbook) got there first. I don't think we need another film about the quagmire in Iraq but I do think there's a story to be told here about two men, with completely different upbringings and backgrounds, but who represent the makeup of the US military rank and file from a socio-economic level; their tribulations and ultimately a third act about how America responds and treats them now.

Update January 2018: Seth wrote me the other day. Hollywood called and then disappeared. The story is available to be made. Now if I could just find someone who wanted to produce this film for me.
